  • Feet tilting
Infinite number of adjustment possibilities. Adjustments of up to 60° head angle and 45° foot angle.
7. Programmable memory positions ZERO. Neither one of these have the option for programmable positions :cry:On adjustable foundations like this one, there are as many as 4 programmable memory positions. What this means is that you can program your bed to ‘transform’ in to your favorite, “book reading”, “TV watching”, “laptop working”, “zero-gravity” etc. positions with the touch of a single button. Models like the Leggett & Platt ShipShape and Serta Motion Essentials don’t have any programmable positions. With these models, you can still adjust your bed to your favorite “book reading”, “TV watching”, “laptop working”, “zero-gravity” etc. positions. However, every time you do it, you need to press the head up/down and feet up/down buttons on the remote multiple times until you get that “perfect” position, which can be annoying at times. In contrast, with models like this one and this one you can go to that favorite position with the touch of a single button. So, if you need to transform your bed from a TV watching to zero-gravity position for example, it’s a ‘one-touch’ job. However, with the ShipShape or the Motion Essentials, it requires multiple touches to the head/feet up/down buttons. There’s no doubt that ‘one-touch’ is multiple times more convenient than “10-touches”. Which one you choose to go with, unfortunately, comes to $. The price difference between the two models is several hundred dollars. Compare prices of this foundation with 2 programmable positions and this foundation with ZERO programmable positions and decide which one you should go with!!
8. Factory preset-positions ZERO. Neither one of these come with factory preset positions :-x Actually, we don’t care for factory preset positions as much as we do for programmable positions. Read on to understand why.Adjustable foundations like this Serta foundation come with as many as 4 factory preset positions. It has been pre-programmed with Zero gravity, lounge, TV/PC, and flat positions. What this means is that you don’t have to spend time on finding your favorite ‘TV watching position’. Serta has already done that for you. That is great, however, because you and I have different physiques, my favorite ‘TV watching position’ may not be YOUR favorite TV watching position. Yet, Serta has already decided that “this SHOULD BE YOUR favorite TV watching position”. This is why we’d rather have many ‘programmable positions’ rather than many ‘factory preset positions’. However, both these models have neither programmable nor preset positions. Nevertheless, you can still adjust your ShipShape or Motion Essentials to your favorite ‘TV position’. Just remember that it can be a little annoying to adjust your bed multiple times instead of the one-touch convenience of a higher-end foundation like the Leggett & Platt S-Cape, Prodigy and Premier Series or even the Serta Motion Signature and Custom adjustable beds.
9. One-touch flat button No.In fact, these two models don’t have ANY one-touch buttons as explained above. More sophisticated models can have up to 5 one touch-buttons for positions like “flat”, “zero gravity”, “TV watching”, “reading”, “lounge” etc.
10. Free fall Yes. Head and foot section of your adjustable bed can be lowered even in case of power failure. Also considered a safety feature because ‘coming down’ is completely under gravity and NOT motor operated. That way, something getting caught and crushed between the bed frame and the descending base is minimal No, only Serta Motion Perfect and higher-end models have this feature. Motion Essentials has a built-in battery unit that can be used to lower the bed in case of power outage.
11. Wall hugging No
A.K.A. “wall saver”: when the head is raised, the entire bed slides rearwards instead of bringing your head forwards. This way, you stay close to your nightstand
12. Quiet motors Yes

All these with touch of a single button on the tablet remote instead of having to turn on/off lights/fans etc. LP Connect™ is what makes this possible (see below)
15. Remote locator No, not needed because the remote is wired
16. Smartphone controllable This, again is a feature of higher end adjustable beds
